These are minimum requirements, not a frame-rate or quality guarantee. Steam does not state a DirectX version in this record, so none is added here.

Steam's current recommended field says only that a 64-bit processor and operating system are required. It does not provide a recommended CPU, memory amount, GPU or storage target. Those missing values are left missing instead of being filled with estimates.

Current platforms

The 6 November 2026 Steam appdetails snapshot still marks Windows as supported and macOS and Linux as not currently supported. The 24 August 2026 snapshot said the same. This is a dated storefront status, not a promise that the platform list will never change. Price and demo status are on the price and release page.

Steam Deck and controllers

Steam marks the game as having full controller support. On 1 September 2026 the developers announced that How to Fish is fully Steam Deck Verified and playable through GeForce NOW. The 24 August 2026 check found no Deck rating; that older finding is not the current one. Controller support and the Deck rating are still different facts. The rating comes from the announcement, not from the controller flag alone.

Mac, PS5 and Xbox

The Dazed Games FAQ, rechecked on 6 November 2026, still says How to Fish is coming to consoles and Mac and that the timing is unknown. On 12 October 2026 the developers also wrote that console ports were part of the work planned for the coming months. Neither statement names PS5 or Xbox, and neither gives a date. The Steam platform flags checked the same day still list Windows only. Mac and consoles are future intent. They are not current store pages.
